🧴 Responsibilities of Korean Skincare Exporters

As a manufacturer or supplier to the EU, you must:

Review your ingredient list and packaging materials for palm, soy, cocoa, rubber, or wood derivatives.

🌟 2. Collect Origin Documentation
Request certificates or declarations from raw material suppliers showing:

• Country of production

• Land use status (no deforestation after 31 Dec 2020)

• Legal compliance in the origin country

🌟 3. Maintain Traceability Records
Document all ingredient sources, suppliers, and production batches.
Be prepared to provide geo-location data or origin proof if requested by EU authorities.

🌟 4. Conduct Risk Assessment
Evaluate whether suppliers are located in “high-risk” regions for deforestation and prepare mitigation steps if needed.

🌟 5. Provide Due Diligence Statement
When exporting to or placing products on the EU market, issue a Due Diligence Statement confirming compliance.
